- Location: Northeastern Indiana; covering 67.5 miles at an elevation of 790 feet above sea level. Built on the convergence of the St. Mary’s, St. Joseph, and Maumee Rivers, the city area is quite level and has very few hills or landforms, due to the flattening action of glaciers during the last Ice Age. Fort Wayne is within a 250-mile radius of 17 percent of the total U.S. population.
- Climate: Fort Wayne~The Home to Four Seasons. Temperatures are fairly moderate, with average summer temperatures from 60-84 degrees and winter temperatures from 16-36 degrees. Fort Wayne receives approximately 35 inches of annual precipitation, ranging from an average of 1.5 inches in September to 7 inches in December.
